1st Generation Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro: This was initially released for the 3rd and 4th Gen iPad Pro models. While it's physically compatible with the 5th Gen M1 iPad Pro 12.9", there's a slight thickness difference in the 5th Gen iPad, which means the fit isn't 100% perfect. It'll close, but not as seamlessly as you'd hope.
If you're comparing a 4th/5th Gen iPad Air and any 11-inch iPad Pro side-by-side, the latter will always have the superior speakers. I don't know that the difference is otherwise worth it and you're probably going to be just as well served by an Apple Certified Refurbished 3rd Generation (M1) version of the 11-inch iPad Pro as you would by the ...
That said, the iPad 8 is a huge upgrade over the iPad 5, esp. if you decide you want an external keyboard +/- Pencil. A9 + 2 GB RAM in iPad 5th gen is showing its age, but is still pretty usable. A10 + 3 GB RAM in iPad 7th gen is very good. Very occasional short pauses can be noticed but it’s very decent overall.
Nov 28, 2023. #5. Depends on price. Last year I was able to pick up iPad Air 4s for less than the 10th Gen and that was a no brainer. This year I've seen the 10th Gen discounted as low as $350 while I haven't seen any Air 4s (was hoping someone would have gotten a supply from Apple at that $350 price again) and the lowest I've seen the Air 5s ...

macrumors 603. I upgraded from 9th gen iPad to 5th gen iPad Air and my thoughts were that the battery was not as good on the Air as the 9th. Looking at my Saturday usage, I had 5 hours of usage on my Air, and used around 55% of my battery. That's perfectly in line with the 10 hours of usage that Apple claims.
551. In its case. May 18, 2022. #1. I think the answer to this is probably yes, but I'll ask anyway: Can wired headphones with a 3.5 be plugged into the USB C charging port on my iPad Air 5th Gen via a patch cable (3.5 female to USB C) to listen to media? I know I can do that through the lightening port on my iPhone 13.
