Officials with the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission have announced the approved season dates, bag limits and applicable regulations for the 2024-25 waterfowl, webless migratory game bird (including doves) and extended falconry seasons.
The early cycle involved the setting of waterfowl seasons that begin prior to late September (September Canada goose and September teal seasons) and seasons for many webless species (doves, rails, woodcock).
Daily bag and possession limits of three and nine, respectively, apply while hunting during the gun season and extended falconry seasons. Possession limits are three times the daily bag for all species singly or in aggregate. Hunting hours for all migratory game birds are from 1⁄2 hour before sunrise until sunset.
These maps have been compiled by the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission as an aid to hunters, trappers, fishermen and other users of over two million acres of North Carolina game lands. Tract boundaries as pictured in these maps may not be precise but are approximations of actual locations.
