many thanks, yea I know that anything transmitted from the TV will be not good 5.1 but I wanted to use my old PC speakers in hope that it will be cheap solution. In my country (Czech Republic) are these DACs quite expensive.. (around 80 USD) so its basicly better to buy new 5.1 system for 200 USD i guess.
18,510. Jan 24, 2013. #1. Hey guys I need some advice. I am looking for a 7.1 system for my computer. The most obvious option is to buy a full home theater system but this will cost an absolute minimum of $500. The problem with this solution is it leaves me with a system which is a minimum of 500W. This amount of power for a computer system ...
May 12, 2021. #1. Hello, I have recently bough a Genius SW-HF 4800 5.1 surround sound system and I'm trying to get it to work on my Windows 10 PC. My motherboard is Asus H61M-K and it supports up to 7.1. The speakers are connected with 3 cables to the motherboard, center and subwoofer to mic (pink), front left and right to line out (green) and ...

rmark, if you're speaking of making a 7.1 computer speaker set then it is possible to use a 2.1 and 5.1 speaker set to make a 7.2. not ideal perhaps but it should work with a 7.1 soundcard. there really isnt any good reason for 7.1 though as there is not much content so its not worth the added price so i'd suggest a half decent 5.1 set instead such as the logitech z506.
make sure that the other side of the connectors is hooked up right to your speakers. make sure that your windows sound properties are set to 5.1. check in the asus supremeFX software (audio drivers) that everything looks correct. some audio software allows you to change which ports output which audio signals (since in some cases they share ...
Light blue is line in. Side speakers in a PC 7.1 set up, the output is grey. Yes you can ignore the light blue. When you turn on matrix, basically what it does is fill all speakers and in case the the rears just reverses the rear to opposite left and right.
When I test it and set it to 7.1 it works fine, all the speakers play a tone. So basically with that E400i-C2-4 option when I play movies with MPC, or KODI, or video games, it works as it should and there is surround sound. However music always defaults to just the 2 speakers with no way I can find to change it.
Apr 1, 2015. #4. generally there are 3 ways to go about it: optical, coax and hdmi. hdmi is the only way you can get uncompressed audio. optical can support compresed 5.1 or uncompressed 2.0. if your motherboard supports optical out it would also need to support DDL (dolby digital live), DTS-Connect or similar which essentially "compresses" the ...
That would work, as you just need something for amplification. After that it depends on what kind of inputs are on the back of that receiver / amplifier. Usually they are RCA so you just need a 3.5mm to RCA converter. The 3.5mm would go to the PC output, the RCAs to the receiver. Usually I can find these adapter locally for a few dollars.
