Does anyone know how long after certification you usually receive payment? I was under the impression it was 2-3 business days... I certify every other Tuesday. My payment shows on my payment history on Wednesday at midnight and is in my checking account on Thursday morning. Been same timeline for each of the 4 times I have certified.

  3. [Illinois] how to answer certifying for benefits questions

badmanmadmansadman. • 4 yr. ago. If it asks if you are "available to work" always click yes for all five days. It's a trick question sorta. I put no because my job was closed down so I technically couldn't work. They denied all of my benefits. I guess it's suppose to mean if you click yes you want to work but if you click no your denying it ...

The best way to complete your certification is online from 3:00am – 7:30pm on your designated certification day, or on Thursdays or Fridays, including holidays. For me, the access denied message popped up at 8 PM on my certification day and I was finally able to certify Thursday AM. For the record I was not using a VPN.

  6. [Illinois] Question about missed certification date

Certifying is how you request payment. Once you certify you usually have the money in 2 business days, since she can’t certify until Thursday, this will delay the payment until money. No penalty or reduction for being late, though! 😊. If she missed it on monday then she has to wait till Thursday or friday.

I missed my certification day which was Monday and it said try Thursday or Friday. I did it Thursday morning before 9am. Usually I get the money 2 days later, but now that I've missed certifying I have no clue of the status of my benefits. I'm guessing this has happened to someone else?

You'll want to say you're working if you've already started the job for the week they are asking you to certify for. Make sure you pay attention to the weeks in question and answer accurately. So you won't certify for this week until next week or the week after. And then as others said, make sure you're entering GROSS wages for when they're ...

  9. [Illinois] my first UI check only accounts for one week

    www.reddit.com/r/Unemployment/comments/16z4amg/illinois_my_first_ui_check_only...

The first week is an unpaid waiting week. I'm assuming that's what it is. It's a waiting week. Next certification should pay for both weeks. Hi, I'm in the same boat. Were your subsequent payments equivalent to 2 weeks' worth of the UI pay? About an hour ago I received a direct deposit for my benefits today and only 1 week of benefits was paid ...
