Well, I wouldn't consider .50 Beowulf in the same category as .50 BMG.... it's more like .458 SOCOM and such. I mean, if your guy just wants something with .50 in the caliber, that would definitely be the way to go cheap-er. But when I hear "fifty cal", I automatically think of the BIG fifty. But a 50 BMG as a "just in case" rifle thats accurate and unquestionably powerful makes my list at #1. While far more niche than 308 or 7.62 NATO, its a round that will have a presence in North American supply lines and warehouses. Plus, owning and learning how to shoot a 50 BMG precision rifle is just fuckin bad ASS!!!
