There is no download available for works. If you have the disc, try installing it with the disc. For more information on Works, check the link below. If you do not have the disc, you have to purchase it use the applications. If you want to use Word 2007, you can download a 60 day trial and use it for free for 60 days.

On the first call to Microsoft, I was told to take out a yearly subscription to Office 365 Home Edition (cost: $106.99 yearly), and the Access App in that suite would open and convert my old Works database file to a new, current Access file that I could then update as needed.
I recently upgraded to Windows 10. A great many of my files were created using Microsoft WORKS 8. With Microsoft OFFICE, I have been able to open many of these files, but not all....particularly those
Microsoft Word includes the filters for Works versions 6 to 9., but depending on the Word version they might not be installed by default. Re-run Office setup and check. Or simply save the WPS file to the hard drive and open it from within Word. If the file was from an earlier Works version the old filters are available from my web site.

Andre Da Costa. Replied on July 4, 2016. Report abuse. Some users have reported version 8.5 and 9 works on Windows 10, you could try. Otherwise, you could use an alternative such as Libre Office which includes the Writer word processor or Office Word Online. Best, Andre.
Microsoft Works is very old software that hasn't been sold for years. It's not supported on Windows 10. That doesn't necessarily mean that it won't work at all on Windows 10. It means that Microsoft hasn't tested it on Windows 10 and hasn't continued to keep it up-to-date with all the changes to Windows over the years.
