Marva Aniece Goodwin (née Wingo; November 21, 1937 - August 15, 2003), better known by the ring name Marva Scott, [4] was among the first Black female professional wrestlers in the United States. [2] She began wrestling in the early 1950s and her first reported match happened in 1954. [5]
It was introduced on October 14, 2007, at TNA's Bound for Glory pay-per-view (PPV) event under the name "TNA Women's World Championship"; [1] it was later renamed "TNA Women's Knockout Championship" in 2008.
