Lewisham College is a further education college in the London Borough of Lewisham, south-east London. It was established in 1990, having previously been known as SELTEC (South East London College of Technology [ 1 ] ) since the early 1970s, which was run by the Inner London Education Authority.
St Matthew Academy is a mixed all-through, co-educational Roman Catholic academy for students aged 4 to 16. Located in the London Borough of Lewisham, the academy opened in September 2007, replacing two previous schools: St Joseph's Academy and Our Lady of Lourdes primary school [1]
Bonus Pastor is based on two sites. Years 7 and 8 are taught on the Churchdown site; Years 9, 10 and 11 on the Winlaton site. The playing fields in Whitefoot Lane, adjacent to the school, are used for games and athletics. The college works very closely with Trinity CE School, Christ the King Sixth Form College and Lewisham College.
The school was founded in 1903 as a girls' grammar school to complement St Olave's and St Saviour's Grammar School for boys, after the Charity Commissioners had required that girls in the area should be afforded some equality of education, and the Governors of the joint foundation agreed to use their endowment to provide this.

In 2004, the College was awarded Beacon status.The college was the first of its kind to be judged outstanding under the new Ofsted inspection régime. In 2008 St. Luke's College, (formerly St. Mary and St. Joseph's RC School) in Sidcup became part of Christ the King Sixth Form College, being re-opened at Christ the King: St Mary's.
