California Water Service, commonly known as Cal Water, is an American company providing drinking water and wastewater services to a number of regions within the state of California. It was founded in 1926 and is based in San Jose, California , and provides service across multiple local districts, reaching more than 484,900 customers.
Hayward is a city located in Alameda County, California, United States, in the East Bay subregion of the San Francisco Bay Area. With a population of 162,954 as of 2020, [10] Hayward is the sixth largest city in the Bay Area, and the third largest in Alameda County. [12] Hayward was ranked as the 36th most populous municipality in California.
In 1923, EBMUD was founded due to the rapid population growth and severe drought in the area. The district constructed Pardee Dam (finished in 1929) on the Mokelumne River in the Sierra Nevada, and a large steel pipe Mokelumne Aqueduct to transport the water from Pardee Reservoir across the Central Valley to the San Pablo Reservoir located in the hills of the East Bay region.
Quirk served from 2004-12 on the Hayward City Council. While on the Council, Quirk served on the Board of Bay Area Water Supply and Conservation Agency, and the Hayward Area Shoreline Planning Agency. While on the city council, Quirk was dedicated to revitalizing Hayward through promoting jobs and safe and clean neighborhoods.
Hayward City Hall is the third and current Hayward city hall building, located in downtown Hayward, California, United States, next to the Hayward BART station. The city hall opened in January 1998, [ 1 ] replacing the abandoned City Center Building , which served as Hayward's city hall for 29 years from 1969 to 1998.

Barbara Jane Halliday (born 1949) is the mayor of Hayward, California, elected to the office by a plurality in the June 3, 2014 California primary election. [1] [2] Halliday was a city council member for 10 years prior to her election as mayor. [3] She follows Michael Sweeney, who declined to seek the office in 2014. [4]
