The Love is an American restaurant located in Philadelphia. It is the third collaboration between Philadelphia-based restaurateurs Stephen Starr and Aimee Olexy, [1] and Starr's twentieth restaurant in the city. [2] The interior was designed by Roman and Williams. [1] The firm also designed Starr's restaurants Upland and Le Coucou.
The head chef is Mark Twersky. The steakhouse has Wagyu beef and is known for having a menu item which offers the most expensive cheesesteak in Philadelphia priced at $120 (now $140). The cheesesteak consists of "Wagyu rib-eye, foie gras, onions, truffled cheese whiz and a half-bottle of champagne". [2] [3]
In 2014, Schulson founded the Independence Beer Garden, a 20,000 square-foot open-air drinking and dining establishment.
