David (Welsh: Dewi Sant; Latin: Davidus; c. 500 – c. 589) was a Welsh Christian prelate who served as Bishop of Mynyw during the 6th century. He is the patron saint of Wales. David was a native of Wales, and tradition has preserved a relatively large amount of detail about his life.

Dorrien Paul Davies (born March 1964) [1] is a Welsh Anglican bishop. [2] Since 2023, he has been the Bishop of St Davids; he was previously the Archdeacon of Carmarthen and priest in charge of St Clears. Davies was educated at the University of Wales, Lampeter, [3] made deacon on 25 June 1988 and ordained priest 24 June 1989. [4]
John David Edward Davies KStJ (born 6 February 1953) is a retired Welsh Anglican bishop and former solicitor. From 2008 he was the Bishop of Swansea and Brecon in the Church in Wales. On 6 September 2017, he was also elected Archbishop of Wales; he continued in his role as diocesan bishop. He retired from both offices with effect from 2 May 2021.
