The British Ornithologists' Union Records Committee (BOURC) is the recognized national bird records committee for Britain.It maintains a list of birds in Britain. Its findings are published in Ibis, the house journal of its parent body, the British Ornithologists' Union (BOU).
The committee publishes an annual report on the rare birds occurring each year, in British Birds. This has usually been in the issue published in November of the following year, although the 2007 Report appeared in the October 2008 issue, and the committee has said that it plans to keep to this new timescale in future years. Because per curiam decisions are issued from the Court as an institution, these opinions all lack the attribution of authorship or joining votes to specific justices. All justices on the Court at the time the decision was handed down are assumed to have participated and concurred unless otherwise noted.
