Eternal Nightmare is the fifth studio album by American deathcore band Chelsea Grin. It was released on July 13, 2018. [3] [4] It is the first album from the band without either frontman Alex Koehler and guitarists Jacob Harmond and Dan Jones. The departure of the three also makes this release the first to not feature any founding members.
Chelsea Grin finished writing and recording their second full-length album in June 2011, where the title for it was revealed as being My Damnation. It was released the following month on July 19, 2011.
My Damnation was met with mixed reviews. The review aggregator site Metacritic gave the album 50/100, based on reviews of 4 critics. The EP assisted in popularizing the band and the songs "Cheyne Stokes" and "Recreant" were re-recorded for their debut full-length album, which was released in February 2010. This is their only recording as 5 piece before they switched to their signature 6 piece lineup by adding a third guitarist, which would last until 2018.
