Step 1 – Remove the gauge cluster trim. The upper-part of the dashboard is held in place via clips. Push the tilt lever for the steering wheel down. Push the wheel down. With the key still turned to on, pull the gear selector down to one – use the emergency brake to keep the truck in place.

57 Instrument Cluster Reassembly. A few weeks ago I removed and disassembled the instrument cluster from my 57. I thought since we were replacing all of the wiring it would be a good time to have the cluster powder coated and replace the bezels and lenses. I took photos as I disassembled it, then used those to help reassemble it.

308 posts · Joined 2015. #5 · Mar 5, 2016 (Edited) Dash bulbs. Usually the dash bulbs a # 53 for general illumination and # 57 for the warning lights and turn signals. The high beam I'm not sure of but because it could be on for an extended period of time it may also be a #53. Check the owners manual. Dave W.
Once the switches are disconnected, lean the top of the bezel toward you and then push down the inner back part of the bezel (the part the sits against the gauge cluster) while you pull. You may have to bend the inner back part a little to get it out of the dash. Be careful not force it and make sure you do not break anything!
