The Hellenic Railways Organisation or OSE (Greek: Οργανισμός Σιδηροδρόμων Ελλάδος, romanized: Organismos Sidirodromon Ellados or Greek: Ο.Σ.Ε.) is the Greek national railway company which owns, maintains and operates all railway infrastructure in Greece with the exception of Athens' rapid transit lines.
The OSE Class 460 is the first class of electric trainsets in Greece and, together with the 621 class, it is the second most recent series of railcars operated by TRAINOSE after the 3107 class. They are OSE rolling stock and belong to the Desiro Classic generation, while they were manufactured by Siemens in 2006.

The OSE class A.201, also known as the Διακοσαράκι (Diakosaraki, Little two-hundred) [1] or Πλούτο , [1] after the well known cartoon, due to the generally not accepted aesthetic result of the reconstruction completed in 2010, [2] is, along with the class A.101, the oldest locomotive operated by TRAINOSE.
The line was operated by Thessaly Railways private company until 1955 and then taken over by the Hellenic State Railways state-owned company. In 1971 it was transferred with the rest of the Greek railway lines to Hellenic Railways Organisation (OSE), which promptly suspended the service as a cost-saving measure.

The station opened in 1891 when the Piraeus, Athens and Peloponnese Railways (S.P.A.P.) line was extended to Olympia. In 1951 the S.P.A.P. absorbed the Line. In 1953 the S.P.A.P. itself was absorbed into the Northwestern Greece Railways (SDBE). In 1962 the station became part of the Hellenic State Railways (SEK).
