The outside temperature needs to be above 5 degrees and stay above 5 degrees until your coat of paint has fully dried. As you have left it this late I would suggest leaving it until late spring, Early September is about the latest I would re-paint exterior, what about the woodwork, , if its gloss it will go flat due to moisture in the air, due to the cost and outlay, I would only suggest painting the exterior if one was thinking of selling the property during the winter.
We have wet summers and mild winters, it seems like Winter has become the best time. Use oil based masonry paint (pliolite based) Dulux is expensive and does the same job as the Johnstones, Leyland, Crown and Sandtex equivalents

When the early dew comes down it will make the gloss look like eggshell. I once had the misfortune of doing two exterior jobs that ran through the whole of winter (over two consecutive winters). You may also find that any oil based gloss will be a pig to apply. Keep the paint warm and consider using an additive such as Owatrol oil to help it flow.
