The University of St. Thomas's main campus is located in the Montrose neighborhood of Neartown. The campus borders Houston's Museum District and is adjacent to the Menil Collection and the Rothko Chapel. Many of the university's offices are in houses built in 1930s that are scattered throughout campus.

One of the streets on the WHS campus was named in memory of former principal Edgar Glover, Jr. Glover, who served as principal between November 1982 until his death in April 1993. Coincidentally, an elementary school named in Edgar Glover, Jr's honor opened on August 17, 1994 [(Opened fall 1992 [3] )].
The Long campus houses the Las Américas Newcomer School. Sharpstown International is a magnet school. Liberty High School, an alternative high school for recent immigrants, was from 2017 on the campus of Sharpstown International.
