The out-and-back, 8.5-mile-long (13.7-kilometer) Cimarrona Trail passes along the northeast side of the peak and then continues north to the trail's junction with the Continental Divide Trail at Squaw Pass. The trail starts at a point north of Williams Creek Reservoir and enters the Weminuche Wilderness. A natural arch lies along its route. [3] [4]

Cimarron is an unincorporated rural hamlet in Montrose County, Colorado, United States. It is located on the northern side of U.S. Highway 50 , 19 miles from the town of Montrose to its west, and 42 miles from Gunnison, Colorado to its east.
The airport covers 1,700 acres (688 ha) and has three runways. [1] Formerly known as Jefferson County Airport or Jeffco Airport, the airport was renamed Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport on October 10, 2006, [2] although it is sometimes referred to as Rocky Mountain Regional Airport, e.g., on 2007–2012 county planning documents.
