Galmoy GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in Galmoy, County Kilkenny, Ireland. It is located on the Laois-Kilkenny border, and neighbours the village of Cullohill in County Laois. The club is primarily concerned with the game of hurling , but also produces very successful handball players.
The All-Ireland final was played on 28 March 2005 at Semple Stadium in Thurles, Co Tipperary, between Galmoy from Kilkenny and Oran from Roscommon, in what was their first ever meeting in the final. [1] Galmoy won the match by 2-18 to 0-09 to claim their first ever All-Ireland title. [2] [3]

The Galmoy Hurdle is a Grade 2 National Hunt hurdle race in Ireland. It is run at Gowran Park in January, over a distance of about 3 miles (4,828 metres) and during the race there are 13 flights of hurdles to be jumped. The race was first run in 2002 and was contested at Grade 3 level between 2003 and 2008.
