Abdallah Candies is a fifth-generation, family-owned chocolatier and confectionery in Apple Valley, Minnesota, United States. [1] It was established as the Calhoun Candy Depot in Minneapolis in 1909 by Lebanese immigrant Albert Abdallah and his wife of Swedish descent, Helen Trovall. First made in 1905 by Necco, they stuck around until 2018, when Necco closed its doors. Though Spangler Candy Company saved the company’s eponymous Necco Wafers, Peach Blossoms weren’t as lucky.
Malley's Chocolates is a chain of candy stores in the Cleveland, Ohio area in the U.S., founded in the suburb of Lakewood. [3] Four of the stores include ice cream parlors year-round. Albert "Mike" Malley borrowed $500 in 1935, and opened his first candy store on Madison Avenue in Lakewood. The Malley family lived in the back of the building.
