Pleasant Grove, originally named Battle Creek, is a city in Utah County, Utah, United States, known as "Utah's City of Trees". It is part of the Provo – Orem Metropolitan Statistical Area . The population was 37,726 at the 2020 Census.
The building is located at 107 South 100 East, within the Pleasant Grove Historic District, and was built in 1887. [1] [2]In 1985 it was the second oldest and the best preserved public building in Pleasant Grove, and is one of about a dozen well-preserved buildings constructed of locally quarried soft, tufa rock in the town.

Pleasant Grove High also had a 16-classroom satellite wing east of the main campus. Prior to the completion of the 2009 addition to the building, this satellite campus was demolished. In 2015, a new main gym (known to students as " Valhalla " after the warrior paradise in Norse mythology ) was completed along with 5 new classrooms.

After lower grades had moved out, the building served as an early home for Pleasant Grove High School. It was later used by the city government for a variety of civic purposes, including a library. In 1940, part of the building was leased to the Daughters of Utah Pioneers for a museum.
