The Albany State Golden Rams are the athletic sports teams for Albany State University, located in Albany, Georgia, in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sports. The Golden Rams compete as members of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC). [ 2 ]
They play their home games at Albany State University Coliseum on the university's Albany, Georgia, campus, and are currently led by coach Quinn Gray Sr. In 2003, the Golden Rams played Fayetteville State in the Pioneer Bowl. It is primarily used for American football, and is the home field of the Albany State University Golden Rams playing in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) in the NCAA Division II. The stadium holds 10,000 people and opened in 2004 on the campus.
