Midway is a city in Liberty County, Georgia, United States. It is a part of the Hinesville-Fort Stewart metropolitan statistical area. The population was 2,141 in 2020. Midway has several museums, including the Midway Museum and the Dorchester Academy Museum. The Midway Historic District is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

At some point the lake was renamed Woodlands Lake. Midway into the 19th century, Woodlands Lake Waterfall and its surrounding area was owned by a number of financiers including Cyrus W. Field as well as J.P. Morgan. [2] In 1869, the New York and Boston Railroad built a railroad line on the east bank of the lake between Highbridge and Brewster.
Woodland is a two-story Victorian Eclectic-style house on 4 acres (1.6 ha) of property in rural Wheeler County, Georgia. It was built in c.1877 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Its NRHP nomination noted that it has "outstanding Gothic-style scroll-sawn detailing".
