WWE currently divides its roster between three brands. Most wrestlers perform exclusively on a single brand (with select exemptions). WWE's two primary brands are Raw and SmackDown, collectively referred to as the main roster. NXT serves as the developmental brand (although it was considered a third main brand from 2019 to 2021). During night one of WrestleMania XL, Sami Zayn defeated Gunther to become the WWE Intercontinental Champion, thus ending the latter's 666-day reign as champion; Zayn became the first man to pin Gunther in a one-on-one match since the latter debuted on the main roster on April 8, 2022.

The WWE Crown Jewel Championship was introduced by Triple H at WWE Bad Blood 2024 as a title exclusive to the WWE Crown Jewel PLE, similar to the title exclusively awarded to King and Queen of the Ring champions. The championship may only be contested by the primary championship holders, both men and women's, from the Raw! and SmackDown! brand.
