Stephanie Abrams (born October 27, 1978) is an American television meteorologist who has worked for The Weather Channel (TWC) since 2003. She currently co-hosts America's Morning Headquarters with Jim Cantore and Jordan Steele early weekday mornings, as well as Pattrn alongside Steele.
In 2017, in preparation for The Weather Channel's coverage for the Total Solar Eclipse, She gave up tips of how to watch it and information in an interview with People Magazine. [3] In 2019, she was named Meteorologist Hall of Fame honoree at the Weather Discovery Center in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania [ 4 ]
In May 2000, Lopez joined The Weather Channel as on-camera meteorologist. [1] She became the co-host of the PM Edition, which was called Evening Edition at the time. [2] In March 2002, she spoke at the 15th Annual Working Women's Survival Show, [3] discussing her career as a meteorologist. [4] She left the network in 2008. [1]
In 2013, Mitchell began work on the weather team at Al Jazeera America. Mitchell delivered the weather segments in the morning from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time and during large weather events. She was the chief meteorologist of the channel until it ceased operation on April 12, 2016. [citation needed]
Parker left WPTV-TV in early 2014 and went to work for The Weather Channel. [15] Parker was born and raised in Grapevine, Texas, and often points to her mother and father as the source of her interest in science. She is currently married and announced her first pregnancy in April 2020. [16]
The Weather Channel was founded on July 18, 1980, [9] by television meteorologist John Coleman (who had served as a chief meteorologist at ABC owned-and-operated station WLS-TV in Chicago and as a forecaster for Good Morning America) and Frank Batten, then-president of the channel's original owner Landmark Communications (now Landmark Media Enterprises).
