Bagh-e-Jinnah, Karachi (Urdu: باغِ جناح) (formerly known as Frere Hall Gardens) is an urban park located between Abdullah Haroon Road (old name Victoria Road) and Fatima Jinnah Road (formerly Bonus Road) in Karachi, Pakistan. [1] It is also known by its old name Frere Hall Gardens and is spread over 15 acres.
The sites below are declared Protected Heritage by the Government of Sindh.. Karachi has over 350 sites which are protected under the Provincial Act. Sites are listed under broad areas or quarters under which they are located.
The park is located near the Clifton Beach, Karachi and is Karachi's largest urban park, covering 130 acres (0.53 km 2). The northern edge begins at Jehangir Kothari Parade, [2] and ends near the coast of the Arabian Sea. It encompasses the Jehangir Kothari Parade, built in 1919, as well as the Katrak Bandstand.
Sandspit Beach is a beach located in south west of Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. A remarkable variety of marine life is found here, including algae and crabs. The shallow waters are ideal for swimming and sunbathing. It has an unusual rocky formation. Sandspit Beach is a popular hangout and relaxation spot and a famous tourist spot in Karachi.
Today, the only remains of the warehouse are the stone boundary walls around the entire venue and a gatehouse which have been restored to bring back their original character as much as possible. [1] The outdoor area comprises also the centre’s Science Garden [1] which features a playground, a natural maze and many indigenous trees and plants.
