It's the account number that's in the online account. I just did it the other day on one of my lines. I used that account number and my account pin and it ported no problem. I think they used to use the phone number as the account number but with all the security issues out there they must have realized that wasn't the best choice
The per minute charge that I pay to receive calls is around $0.05. I only give this number to family, clients, etc. as you pay this on top of your airtime minutes which you are billed for by T-Mo. Note that when you select a toll free number, you are better off choosing a not previously used 877, 866 or 888 number as opposed to an 800 number.

I ported to T-Mobile and it was very quick about 5-15min. To port your safelink number to another carrier you need the account number and pin. I can confirm this is the correct information. Once your number is ported it would take about 24hrs deactivate your account from safelink. Account number is the serial number (IMEI) of the phone
The only carrier I've experienced where the phone number was the account number I used for porting was T-Mobile prepaid. It turned out to be a 1, the area code , then the cell number. I think the 1 was included but it may have just been the area code and number.
I was wondering if it would be possible to transfer the remaining balance on one of my T-mobile prepaid number/account, to another pre-paid number/account of mine? I would like to keep just one number and would like to consolidate both of my balances.
