I just submitted an address change and accidentally put the wrong zip code for my FOID card after it refreshed my page and didn’t notice the zip was wrong. I had just gotten my FOID card with my old address and then moved the day I got it unfortunately.
When you change your address, it will take you upwards of 7 months to get it approved. Yes, 7 months. I did my address change back near end of july. I just got the approval Feb 19th. My suggestion would be to get your CCW stuff done after you change the license, because it begins the clock on whichever one you submit your application for first.
Yes, if your card was valid before the address change, it will be valid during the address change. However, there are some FFL, and Retailers (like Cabelas for example) that state the Address on your FOID, must match the address on your driver's license, in order for them to sell to you.

The ISP website will inform you if your new address isn't in the system yet. After moves I've been busy with things do I didn't immediately update my address at the DMV and I waited to submit the FOID/CCL change until at least a week after my DL card arrived in the mail (so like 3-4 weeks after the change at the DMV). No issues.
Foid renewal and address change I recently moved into my new house and just submitted for my new drivers license. I obviously need to update the address on my FOID, however I’ll need to renew my FOID in about 3 months as well.
Hello all! I recently bought a house and submitted a change of address for my FOID & CCL. I submitted on 3/12 and got my new FOID card back in about 30 days. We are now past the 60 day mark on my CCL, still "Under Review", which is a bit ridiculous in my mind. Am I still OK to carry even though my FOID and CCL show different addresses?
