They aren’t hard headed, they just need to be respected. The best equine I’ve ever ridden has been a mule. They are underrated and disrespected.

Since hearing that I've been debating on just waiting before I start looking more since I may get a bad deal if I continue to look and end up with a horse that just isnt right for me.

Saddle makers often produce specific models for export which aren't available on the home market. And along similar lines to GH's comments, Barnsby trees of this age tend to be on the narrow side for their stated fitting. I've sometimes used a medium-wide on a horse that would be a medium fit in other brands.

I had always thought Simco saddles were mid range priced saddles; I had also thought that the newer saddles are not quite the quality of the old ones. Therefore, unless the saddle is brand new and still ...

There's a FB page called "HORSES AND TACK FOR SALE IN NEW ENGLAND" that seems to ...

  11. Need opinion on Buford Saddle! | The Horse Forum

    www.horseforum.com/threads/need-opinion-on-buford-saddle.391514

I don't know what they sell for. I recall seeing Buford dark oil show saddles in '70s and early '80s catalogs. I think maybe those saddles were made by Bona Allen after BA was sold to Tandy Leather / Tex Tan. They were a lower priced line than the Billy Royals or the Hereford show saddles. Probably $250 - $350, depending on what kind of saddle ...
