Seabird is an American alternative rock band from Independence, Kentucky. The band formed when Aaron Morgan, Micah Landers, and Aaron Hunt began playing songs with each other in 2004. The band soon added accordion player David Smith. After playing together for a little under a year both Landers and Smith left to pursue other interests.
Formed in Atlanta, the band was signed to a four-album deal with Virgin Records. [1]Their song “We’re Here To Save The Day” was featured in the NBC season premiere of Chuck on September 20, 2010, and is also included in the soundtrack for the video game NBA 2K11.
The band is named after the guitar amplifier manufactured by Gibson from 1950 to 1961. They primarily play Chicago blues. The band began with high school classmates Couzzourt and Perry before growing to include Everett. [1] The group then began touring by opening up for artists such as Black Stone Cherry, The Kentucky Headhunters, and Blackberry Smoke. [1] They're managed by Richard Young of the Headhunters. [2]
The band was also announced as the surprise headliner for the Resonance Music & Arts Festival in Ohio in September. On September 5, 2017, the band launched a Kickstarter campaign [6] to make a new album. The new album, self-titled Perpetual Groove, was released to backers as a digital download on May 2, 2019.
Delta Moon is an American swamp blues, blues rock, and blues band. They originated in Inman Park, Atlanta, Georgia, United States. The group's name came to founder member, Mark Johnson, whilst on a pilgrimage to Muddy Waters' cabin near Clarksdale, Mississippi. [2] In 2003, Delta Moon won the International Blues Challenge. [3]
