The Angola Prison Rodeo, staged at the Louisiana State Penitentiary, is the longest running prison rodeo in the United States. It is held on one weekend in April and on every Sunday in October. Nathan Burl Cain (born July 2, 1942) [1] is the commissioner of the Mississippi Department of Corrections [2] and the former warden at the Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola in West Feliciana Parish, north of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
