The pump bearing should be greased every 10 hours. I was the owner of the North River that Ramstrong was on Sat. I have had my pump apart, pretty simple.

  5. Advice on older North River Boats | IFish Fishing Forum

The model you are looking at is probaly a Seahawk (not like todays seahawk) or Ranger, The older boats typically had a 66" wide bottom but some had a 72". As far as engine and jets typically they are going to be 350 Carb engines and some Ram Jet EFI 350's. You might even find some Redline Ford engines. Jets will be kodiak 3 stage, a good jet ...

In my opinion you should look @ things like beam, thickness of aluminum, overall options per dollar, fuel capacity, V-degree etc.

I have bow access for anchoring, but the bow is double walled to maintain buoyancy should you bury it in the ocean. Hewes has a similar layout with a deeper V in 24 and 26' Alaskans, Duckworth makes a 22' Pacific Pro, and North River has upgraded their hardtop Seahawks now in 22, 23, and 24' flavors.

    5. We used to sub contract out paint but have invested $775,000 in paint equipment so that we can paint the boats with the best equipment and processes available. The boats are painted and baked at 135 – 145 degrees (surface tempature) for 20 minutes. This puts a cure of 30 days of normal drying time on the new paint.

  9. News: North River Boats Closure/Bankrupcy - IFish Fishing Forum

    www.ifish.net/threads/news-north-river-boats-closure-bankrupcy.245159/page-2

The growth and ultimate crash of North River was an excercise in the gigantic ego of their top management. Same thing has cost Joes, Sportsmans, and several other NW companies that tried to grow at unprecedented and unsustainable rates during the last few years. TF.

  10. North River owners: 17.5 Bayhawk Ino? | IFish Fishing Forum

    www.ifish.net/threads/north-river-owners-17-5-bayhawk-ino.303434

I've been considering a North River 17.5 Bayhawk. I would appreciate input from owners about this boat. It would be used mostly on the Columbia for fishing and family fun; ocassionally some near shore fishing on the coast or mouth of the Columbia. The North River site doesn't seem to have any info on specs including dimensions, weight, degree ...

  11. North River Hard Top vs Hewes Ocean Pro | IFish Fishing Forum

The kicker for me was price, the Hewes was 10k cheaper (with a Honda 225 installed vs. a Yamaha 200 on the NR). Both are great boats. NR is beefier and likely rides better. Hewes is a little more thoughtfully laid out, and cheaper. Defiance Admiral 250, twin Yamaha 150's, T9.9.
