Leroy Greene Academy was preceded by Leroy F. Greene Middle School, which was opened on July 1, 1980, serving grades 6-8. [3] It was closed by the Natomas Unified School District in 2010 as a cost-saving measure and also due to the school's failure to reach academic benchmarks. [4] [5] Leroy F.
