It opened as Sacred Heart School #2 in 1947. The Monsignor John T. Gulczynski Early Childhood Center, previously the First Community Church, was acquired by St. Thomas Aquinas in 2005. As of 2020 the lower school has 351 students. In 2011 the church took possession of 2.68 acres (1.08 ha) of land adjacent to the upper school. [4]
