Fortnum & Mason plc (colloquially often shortened to just Fortnum's) is an upmarket department store in London, England.The main store is located at 181 Piccadilly in the St James's area of London, where it was established in 1707 by William Fortnum and Hugh Mason.
The upmarket department store grew from a draper's and milliner's first acquired by Mary Jane and Charlotte Milne in 1867. [2] [3] In 1874 the store moved to larger premises on Queen Street, [4] before the name of the store changed to Milne & Choyce in 1876 following Charlotte Milne's marriage to Henry Choyce. [5]
