Desert Sands is a 1955 American adventure film directed by Lesley Selander and written by Danny Arnold, George W. George and George F. Slavin. The film stars Ralph Meeker, Marla English, J. Carrol Naish, John Carradine, Ron Randell, John Smith and Keith Larsen. [1] The film was released on November 18, 1955, by United Artists.
Ralph Meeker (born Ralph Rathgeber; November 21, 1920 – August 5, 1988) [1] was an American film, stage, and television actor. He first rose to prominence for his roles in the Broadway productions of Mister Roberts (1948–1951) and Picnic (1953), [1] the former of which earned him a Theatre World Award for his performance.
In 1955, she performed with John Ireland and Pennell in Hell's Horizon. Some other films in which she was cast in this period include Three Bad Sisters (1956), Runaway Daughters (1956), The She Creature (1956), and Flesh and the Spur (1956). [ 10 ]
He was cast as an Italian, Giangiacomo, in the 1965 Perry Mason episode "The Case of the Sad Sicilian". [citation needed] Minardos also appeared in an episode of Barnaby Jones titled "The Loose Connection" (1973). In 1975, Minardos starred in and produced Assault on Agathon based on the book by Alan Caillou. [1]
