Same goes for a blower. As long as you size it with respect to the tractor size/hp you bought, you will be fine.
Whatever you do, spend the extra money and put a geotextile (barrier cloth) down before any gravel. It keeps the mud from coming up in the gravel. I put around 5" of #3 limestone down first planning to choke in with 2b. Originally, a triax would cover an area of about 10'x100' so it took 13 triax loads.

Nova Scotia, Canada. For soil cement the CRUSHED gravel should have poper mix of fines to larger pieces to make it as dense as possible. Add the proper amount of cement and water and mix well by some mechanical means, smooth to grade and pack it. The mix is not a slurry and is very hard to tell from damp gravel.
Got #4 gravel (golf ball sized stuff) for #12/ton delivered. All this though a LARGE independent trucker in the area that does nothing but haul stone. The limestone comes from ~30-35 miles away and the gravel comes from 10 miles away. And all these loads were normally 24-25 tons.
30,116. Location. Lebanon,NH. Tractor. Kubota B2650HSD w/Frontloader & CC LTX1046 & Craftman T2200 lawn mower. Rake will spread new gravel,but not as quick as box blade/rear blade..you may have to take lighter pulls. Good dump truck driver should be able to spread load which will make it lot easier.
My driveway is 1/4 mile long. I use a BX2680 with a landpride box scraper. Works great, only took about 4 passes this spring and I plan on doing it again in the fall. I thought I was going to need gravel before I started. Filled in the pot holes and redistributed the gravel to the point I did not need more.
