Prior to the school's opening in 1972, the township's students had attended Merchantville High School in neighboring Camden County for 40 years. With the loss of Maple Shade students, the Merchantville School District closed its high school after the end of the 1971–72 school year and started sending its students to Pennsauken High School for grades nine through twelve.

The Boston MCPHS campus is based at 179 Longwood Avenue, in the Longwood Medical and Academic Area.It is next to the Massachusetts College of Art and Design and Harvard Medical School, and near health care institutions such as Boston Children's Hospital, Dana–Farber Cancer Institute, Brigham and Women's Hospital, and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
The school had 138 students and six teachers. The next year there were 463 students and 13 teachers, and the first 10th grade graduating class had 13 members. In 1934 the school added ten rooms, and in 1952 a cafeteria was added, with students paying 25 cents for lunch. [2] The building which became the middle school was added in 1957. [2]
[3] [4] Later the two student populations were combined and additions made to create one large high school called Marysville-Pilchuck High School. In 2007 the student population peaked at over 2,500. Marysville Getchell High School is a public high school in Marysville, Washington, United States.It is part of the Marysville School District.. The campus has a capacity of 1,600 students and was originally organized into four "small learning communities", however, starting in the 2019-2020 school year, the school instead operates with no separation between the four schools.
The school serves students from Mount Pleasant, Winfield, and Millers Cove. [4] Until the Winfield Independent School District dissolved in 2018 and merged into Mount Pleasant ISD, [ 5 ] Mount Pleasant High was designated to serve high school students from Winfield ISD territory, including Winfield and Millers Cove.
