Buena Park (Buena, Spanish for "Good") is a city in northern Orange County, California, United States.As of the 2020 census its population was 84,034. It is the location of several tourist attractions, including Knott's Berry Farm.
The chain's first water park opened in Buena Park under the name Soak City U.S.A. on June 17, 2000. It is located east of Knott's Berry Farm and occupies 13 acres (5.3 ha) near the Knott's main parking lot and Independence Hall replica.
The center was previously approved by the city, which promised to pay the developer 55% of sales tax revenue made by the project for the next 30 years, in 2010. Buena Park was chosen for its lack of large retailing centers in the area, as the nearest mall at the time, the Los Cerritos Center, was 5 mi (8.0 km) away.

The Second Supervisorial District consists of the cities of Costa Mesa, Cypress, Huntington Beach, La Palma, Los Alamitos, Newport Beach, Seal Beach, and Stanton, along with two-thirds of the city of Fountain Valley that are south of Warner Avenue and southwestern portions of the City of Buena Park.

The city's Magnolia Park area, bordered by West Verdugo Avenue to the south, Chandler Boulevard to the north, Hollywood Way to the west and Buena Vista Street to the east is known for its small-town feel, shady streets and Eisenhower-era storefronts. Most of the homes in the area date to the 1940s, when they were built for veterans of World War II.
