Kintetsu-Kōriyama Station was opened on April 1, 1921 as Kōriyama Station (郡山駅) on the Osaka Electric Tramway Unebi Line. In 1928, its name was changed to Daiki Kōriyama Station (大軌郡山駅). On 15 March 1941, the line merged with the Sangu Express Railway and became the Kansai Express Railway.

The Kashihara Line (橿原線, Kashihara-sen) is a 23.8 km (14.8 mi) north-south bound railway line in Nara Prefecture, Japan, owned and operated by the Kintetsu Railway, a private railway operator. It connects Yamato-Saidaiji Station and Kashiharajingu-mae Station .
