Shriek (Frances Louise Barrison) is a supervillain appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. She is usually depicted as an enemy of Spider-Man, and the lover of Cletus Kasady. Naomie Harris portrayed the character in the live action Sony's Spider-Man Universe film Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021).

Lord Maximus Farquaad is the main antagonist of the 2001 animated feature film Shrek; as well as Shrek 4-D, and the musical.He is voiced by John Lithgow.He does not appear in William Steig's original picture book of the same name.
