Rossi circuit judge modified, replacement, custom stocks. I have a circuit judge 45 LC/ 410 with the composite "tactical" stock. I love the gun, but hate the stock just as much. I cant find many options to choose from so I have made modifications to the front of the stock to make it bearable. I'm mostly looking for suggestions for the grip but ...
In the end, the Circuit Judge is just a Judge Magnum in rifle form. Like all the other Judges, no +P's. Other than that, game on. Just remember to change to out the shotgun choke when shooting the 45s. Important to remember that even as powerful as the .410 is, it only operates at a max 13,500 psi.
Call 800-948-8029 I ordered a new set of sights and they arrived in 5 days. You should know the part number before you call, and they may have to set up two profiles for you (one Rossi/ one Taurus) like they did for me. Between the two, they found what I needed, and the fit was perfect.
Thanks for the report 10Incher. Unfortunately, I do not own this particular Circuit Judge or Taurus/Rossi revolver in 22 Rim Fire to help with a comparison but the subject of this post represents a nagging concern I have about my SCJ44, the Circuit Judge chambered in 44 Mag. My concern is with the forcing cone as well.
I just contacted Boyd stocks also, asking them if they could make a custom stock if i sent them my rossi circuit judge. Here are some picture templates I sent them to just toss up, but also mentioned, even a wood version 22lr circuit judge synthetic stock, with the hand hole cut out, would be awesome. That was the one I was looking for.
Rifles are required to have a barrel length of at least 16" and shotguns must have barrels at least 18" long. Since it is considered a rifle you need to have the barrel at least 16 inches. My Rossi Circuit Judge 45/410 with oem stock and stock off my 22lr - 22mag Rossi Circuit Judge and a Hogue Taurus Tracker revolver grip.
The Judge Revolvers only have special ammo because their short rifled barrels cause a huge dip in velocity/accuracy from standard .410 loads which are designed for full size shotguns with 18"+ smoothbore barrels. Conspiracy theorists are the greatest political spin-doctors of all time.
This Circuit Judge is a different animal, not a regular revolver, nor does it resemble a carbine. I have gotten respectable groups at 100 yards but it seems to drop off pretty much at 150. using the 250 grn LRN, I will let yall know if the 230s shoot any farther. also if yall find any real good working loads for longer range, please let me know.
The purpose of the choke is to tighten the spread of pellets coming out of the barrel. The rifling on the slug should make it spin. This should clarify some of the confusion. Both chokes should come with the Circuit Judge. The one on the left is for .45LC or rifled slugs or buckshot.
I have the Rossi Circuit Judge in blue, same as thejudge magnum with a 3" chamber. I got it for xmas and I took it outshooting yesterday for the first time, wow was I impressed. The 45 colt shellswhere accurate and had very little kick. The 410 shells were a different story.Russian Silver Bear 3”magnum shells.
