Honley High School is a coeducational secondary school situated on the edge of the village of Honley in the Holme Valley, West Yorkshire, England.The catchment area includes the neighbouring villages of Brockholes, Honley, Meltham and Netherton (those living in Holmfirth can also attend) Honley High has around 1,250 pupils aged 11–16. [1]
The school's buildings were constructed in two distinct phases; the older building, comprising mainly the former Wheelwright Grammar School for Girls and a newly built wing connected by a bridge c. 1980.
On 18 January 2011, the Crellin Building was officially opened by Prince Edward, with Ingrid Roscoe and the mayor of Kirklees. In December 2018, the headteacher at the time, Nathan Bulley, quit following allegations of mismanagement. [6] On 30 January 2019, the former HGS Annexe cum 'Jo Cox Centre' was opened.
