Tandle Hill Country Park is a country park in Royton, Greater Manchester, England. It consists of approximately 110 acres (45 ha), a combination of beech woodland and open grassland. The park contains a countryside centre (opened in 1994), picnic areas, children's play area and numerous trails and paths into the surrounding area.
The Tan Hill Inn is a public house at Tan Hill, North Yorkshire. It is the highest inn in the British Isles at 1,732 feet (528 m) above sea level. [ 1 ] According to the Guinness Book of World Records , it is slightly higher than the Cat and Fiddle Inn in the Peak District, which is at 1,690 feet (520 m).
Royton is a town in the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham, Greater Manchester, England, with a population of 21,284 in 2011. [1] [2] [3] Close to the source of the River Irk, near undulating land at the foothills of the South Pennines, it is 2 miles (3.2 km) northwest of Oldham, 3 miles (4.8 km) southeast of Rochdale and 8 miles (12.9 km) northeast of Manchester.
