Clermont / ˈ k l ɛər ˌ m ɒ n t / is a town in Columbia County, New York, United States. The population was 2,058 at the 2020 census. [3] [4] The name of the town is French for "Clear Mountain", in reference to the mountain views in the town. The town is in the southwestern corner of Columbia County, south of the city of Hudson.
