The Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board (HWCDSB) is the Catholic school board for the city of Hamilton, which includes the former Wentworth County. It currently operates 49 elementary schools and 7 secondary schools, along with one continuing education school.
It is a part of the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board and is located on the East Mountain of the city, serving the south-east of Hamilton as well as parts of Binbrook, Caledonia and Glanbrook. The school's Latin motto is "anima, mens, corpus". St. Jean de Brébeuf Catholic Secondary School is often referred to as SJB or Brébeuf.

St. Mary Catholic Secondary School opened in 1970 in the former Christ the King Elementary School. It moved to the former Hamilton Teacher's College in 1980. Due to overcrowding, planning for a new school on the current location started in 1992.
St. Thomas More Catholic Secondary School is a Catholic secondary school located in Hamilton. It is a part of the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board and is located on the west side of the Hamilton Mountain. It serves the south-west of Hamilton as well as parts of Glanbrook and Ancaster.
Established in 1975 as Cardinal Newman Catholic Secondary School, the school was named after John Henry Newman. [4] According to The Fraser Institute's research of Ontario High Schools in 2010, Cardinal Newman ranked in the top 10th percentile of top rated secondary schools in Ontario, [5] and in 2015, was named one of two highest rated schools in the Greater Hamilton Area.
