The Paulson House is a 1 + 1 ⁄ 2-story, side-gable, L-shaped house, constructed of cedar logs from 7 to 9 inches thick. [2] The logs are dovetailed together at the corners, and held with iron spikes. The main section measures 25 feet by 29 feet; a single-story addition containing the kitchen measures 12 feet by 18 feet. [4]
The purchase price at the time was $10,000 for the 24-by-60-foot (7.3 by 18.3 m) building. [6] Work crews sawed the diner in half the week after it closed in 1990 in New Jersey to load it on flatbed trucks for the move to Michigan. [6] The restaurant opened in its new location on July 5, 1991. [7]
The Meyer May House is a Frank Lloyd Wright-designed house in the Heritage Hill Historic District of Grand Rapids, Michigan, in the United States. It was built in 1908–09, and is located at 450 Madison Avenue SE. It is considered a fine example of Wright's Prairie School era, and "Michigan's Prairie masterpiece". [1] [2]
