The company is owned by AS Watson (Health & Beauty UK) Limited [3] [a] which is part of the A.S. Watson Group. It was acquired as part of the buyout of Kruidvat BV in October 2002.
The company was founded by pharmacist Murray Koffler in 1962; [2] the Koffler family still retains ownership of the Super-Pharm pharmacy, which has locations in Israel, Poland, and formerly in China (as Ensure from 2005 to 2011).
