Santa Mesa is a district in Manila, Philippines.It is surrounded by the Pasig River on the southwestern side, and by the San Juan River on its southern and eastern side. Land borders include the districts of San Miguel to the west and Sampaloc to the north; and to the northeast is Quezon City.

Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic School (SHJCS) is a private Catholic school located in Santa Mesa, Manila, beside this is the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish. The school's name is named after their parish patron, Sacred Heart of Jesus, as well as St. Margaret Mary Alacoque. The school was formerly known as Sta. Mesa Parochial School.
The church was elevated to the status of archdiocesan shrine by the Archdiocese of Manila on December 5, 2002. [3] On March 23, 2023, the Manila City Council passed an ordinance recognizing Our Lady of Loreto as the patroness of Sampaloc, Manila. [5] On December 1, 2023, the Marian image was first episcopally crowned by Cardinal Jose Advincula.
Its former campus was located at A. Mabini Street in Barangay Mabini-J. Rizal, Mandaluyong.After the institute was acquired by STI in 2019, the school moved to the newly-constructed STI Academic Center in Sta. Mesa, Manila which is now the home to both STI College Sta. Mesa (formerly STI College Shaw) and the NAMEI Polytechnic Institute, which were both formerly located in Mandaluyong.
