John Howard Mulroy (February 10, 1925 – September 6, 1999) was an American politician most notable for having served as the first county executive of Onondaga County, New York. Mulroy was born to Morris, a dairy farmer, and Elizabeth, a former schoolteacher.
It enjoyed considerable success and a high reputation, but declined in the 1950s and 1960s. The Herald Tribune merged with the New York World-Telegram and The Sun and the New York Journal-American in 1966 to become the New York World Journal Tribune, which folded in 1967.
